Microsoft still plans to launch its next-generation Xbox One video game console this coming November, but the number of launch markets was just slashed by more than one-third. The company on Wednesday announced that the Xbox One is now set to debut in 13 markets ahead of the holidays this year. Microsoft listed 21 launch markets during the console’s unveiling, but Belgium, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland will now see the Xbox One arrive sometime in 2014. The change implies that either preorder demand has far exceeded Microsoft’s expectations, or manufacturing issues may limit initial supply. “Our priority is ensuring our customers get the best Xbox One experience the first day it is available,” Microsoft said
