Xbox Live's Director of Programming, Larry Hryb, posted a short clip to Instagram to demonstrate the speed at which the Xbox One can wake up from standby. It does so because its Kinect sensor still draws enough power to become activated by the vocalized instruction "Xbox On." Earlier this year, privacy concerns had helped fuel a backlash against the Kinect, which at the time was a mandatory part of the Xbox One experience. But as both Facebook and Google have proven with some success, privacy concerns are often mitigated by convenience and ease of use.
