Rumor: Nintendo to show new hardware at E3

The Wii Vitality Sensor was announced at E3 2009 but canceled before release in 2013. The Electronic Entertainment Expo rumormill is starting to wind up, with talk of a new Nintendo console resurfacing not yet a year and a half after the Wii U's debut. "They're absolutely going to show new hardware this year," said co-host Peer Schneider, after he and his co-hosts established an atmosphere of healthy skepticism. "I've heard it from someone who used to be at Nintendo, I've heard it from somebody on the third-party front." No further detail was given on what exactly that new hardware might be -- console, controller, accessory or something else entirely.
